The most common helplessness and feeling we have seen expressed by those concerned about the situation on Samos or the general condition of the European migration crisis.

It's not easy to know where to start, but here are some clues on how you can be part of the changes that need to happen.

1. STAY INFORMED

For students and health specialists, you may be interested in the free Refugee and Elderly Global Health e-Learning Program & Certification (English and French) developed by the CCIRH (Canadian Collaboratino for Immigrant and Refugee Health).

2. BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Humansnation is a Swiss NGO that will put you in contact with NGOs in the field free of charge.

Indigo Volunteer is a platform that connects NGOs and volunteers for free. You can also directly contact NGOs on Samos such as Med'Equali Team , Still I Rise , Samos Volunteers , Glocal Roots (We Are One) , Refugee4Refugees , Refugee Law Clinic Berlin .

3. MAKE DONATIONS

If you are ready to financially support NGOs on Samos, here are some options.

Med'Equali Team is a small clinic of volunteers totally founded by private donations. Your donation will be used to pay for drugs, medical equipment and to keep the clinic in operation.

Still I Rise founded Mazi, the first school for refugee children living in Samos camp, Greece. They help children by educating them and offering psycho-social support.

Samos Volunteers founded Alpha Center where they give language lessons and organize recreational activities for adults. Twice a day they organize children's activities with songs and games. They also provide a laundry station, the only place in the camp where people can wash and dry their clothes.

Global Roots founded We Are One in Samos which provides a safe space for women and young children on Samos. They also have different projects supporting expatriate women in Greece.

Refugee4Refugees has founded a free store and provides clothes and hygiene products for refugees living in the vicinity of the reception and identification centers of Samos as well. They also organize recreational activities for the children of the camp.


Refugee Law Clinic Berlin provides access to justice for people in need. With your donations to Refugee Law Clinic Berlin eV you are making a gesture for justice and humanity and helping us to continue to give people access to justice in the future.

4. HELP REMOTELY

You may not have the opportunity to travel abroad or the money to donate, but you may have the motivation to donate time and energy. Do not hesitate to contact us or to contact one of the NGOs in our links to offer your help.

Think about your skills and how they can be useful.
